This Privacy Policy explains how WaveMerge ("WaveMerge", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the WaveMerge mobile application.

1. Summary
WaveMerge is an audio and video utility app for recording audio, cutting audio, merging audio files, converting audio formats, extracting audio from video, adding audio to video, removing audio from video, making ringtones, applying voice effects, downloading supported online audio links, and transcribing speech to text.
The app is designed so that core editing and transcription processing happens on your device. We do not operate a developer server that stores your personal audio files, videos, recordings, or transcripts.
2. Information We Access or Process
Media files and recordings
When you choose an audio or video file, WaveMerge accesses the selected file so it can perform the action you requested, such as trimming, merging, converting, compressing, adding audio, removing audio, previewing, sharing, or saving output files. File names, paths, duration, size, and format metadata may be used locally to display file lists and processing results.
When you use the recording feature, WaveMerge accesses your microphone and saves the resulting recording on your device only for the features you choose.
Transcripts
If you use Audio to Text, the selected audio or video is processed on your device. Transcript text and timestamp segments may be stored in the app's local database so you can view them later in the Output section. These transcripts are not uploaded to our servers.
Online links and network requests
If you paste an online audio or video link, WaveMerge may connect to the source service to fetch stream information and download the requested audio. The source service may receive information such as the link, your IP address, device/browser-like request metadata, and other information required to serve the content. Please review the privacy policy and terms of that source service.
WaveMerge may also use network access to download speech recognition model files, check connectivity, load remote configuration, process in-app purchases, app updates, app reviews, diagnostics, and related Google services.
Diagnostics, analytics, configuration, messaging, and purchases
The app includes Google Firebase and Google Play services. Depending on your device, app version, and configuration, these services may process app instance identifiers, crash reports, diagnostic data, device information, operating system version, app version, usage events, remote configuration fetches, cloud messaging tokens, purchase state, and transaction metadata. These services help us understand app stability, improve features, prevent abuse, deliver configuration, and support purchases.
3. Android Permissions Used by WaveMerge

4. How We Use Information
- To provide audio and video editing features requested by you.
- To save output files, ringtones, recordings, and transcripts on your device.
- To display recent outputs, previews, progress states, and transcript results.
- To download required model files and supported online audio streams.
- To provide app updates, in-app review prompts, purchases, remote configuration, analytics, crash reporting, and stability improvements.
- To respond to support requests you send to us by email or phone.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not upload your selected audio files, videos, recordings, or transcript content to a developer-operated server.
Data may be processed by third-party service providers only as needed to operate app features, including:
- Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and Cloud Messaging.
- Google Play Billing, Google Play In-App Review, and Google Play In-App Updates.
- Online source services when you paste or use an online audio/video link.
- Android platform services such as MediaStore, system ringtone settings, notifications, and file sharing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
6. Data Retention
- Output audio/video files, recordings, and ringtones are stored on your device until you delete them.
- Transcripts stored in the app's local database remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
- Crash reports, analytics, remote configuration, messaging, and purchase data are retained by Google services according to their own policies and retention practices.
- We retain support emails or messages only as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request and maintain support records.
7. Your Choices and Controls
- You can deny optional permissions. Some features may not work without the required permission.
- You can revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings.
- You can delete output files, recordings, and transcripts from your device or by clearing app data.
- You can uninstall the app to remove local app data stored by WaveMerge.

8. Security
We use platform storage controls and scoped Android permissions to reduce unnecessary access to your files. Because core media processing is local, protecting your device, lock screen, operating system, and backups is important. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we aim to limit data access to what is needed for the app's features.
9. Children's Privacy
WaveMerge is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support contact or another channel, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International Users
If you use WaveMerge from outside Vietnam, your information may be processed in your country and in countries where our third-party service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your location.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the revised policy at the same location.
